New Year New Career in Healthcare

Whether you are straight out of high school, or in the process of changing careers, the healthcare field is continuously growing, making it a great option for someone looking to make a difference in the world.

There are many reasons to switch to a career in healthcare. For instance, it’s a career that’s in demand and there are various jobs available depending on your interests and goals. If you continue with your education, you can expect the pay benefits to increase depending on your level of education and your chosen field. Last, but certainly not least, the health career field is an exciting one, and HCI can help you get there!

Choosing HCI As A Health Career School

When deciding to go to school, it can be a bit overwhelming, but HCI can help take that stress away.  Health Career Institute offers two diploma programs that are a great option for someone who wants to ease their way in. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Basic is the first program, and it has been developed to prepare students for a career as an EMT.  Upon completion of this prerequisite, a diploma is given and you can then enroll in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Paramedic program which is the more advanced program.

Completing EMT Program With HCI

After completing both diploma programs, it’s an easy transition to get your Associate of Science in Emergency Medical Services. All you need to take are the general requirement courses such as:

  • English Composition I
  • English Composition II or SPC 2608 Speech Communications
  • Liberal Arts Mathematics or MTA 1030 Intermediate Algebra
  • Introduction to Psychology
  • History of the USA: A Survey to 1877

One completed, you’re nearly there! If you decide to get your Associate of Science degree in Nursing right away and later decide that you want your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, HCI will do their best to help that transition go smoothly.
