Earn your BSN Online while You Work

BSN Online

You can go back to school without giving up your current job or life. HCI offers a fully-online BSN program that you can do while you work. Take your career to the next level with a BSN, and we will show you how.

Inside of HCI’s online BSN program

The online BSN program at HCI is 120 credit hours of instruction. Online courses have helped many working professionals change careers or upgrade their credentials. The flexibility of an online degree from an accredited and licensed institution means that students can live their lives and work while still in school.

The BSN program at HCI is designed to work around your busy schedule. Other schools maximize their semesters at 12 credit hours. HCI considers a course load of 9 credit hours per semester as full time. However, students are allowed to take less than 9 credits a semester.

The core courses will cover professional nursing and best practices, treating patients at various life stages, leadership qualities in nursing, and more. Medical and pharmaceutical knowledge also plays an important role in nursing. The program is rounded off with general education courses to develop the necessary “soft skills” needed for every career, including nursing.

The flexibility of online BSN programs

Do you already hold an ASN? If so, you can transfer up to 60 credit hours of your program into HCI’s BSN program. Work with the registrar to see if your credits can be transferred in. You will be that much closer to having your BSN in-hand!

Online courses offer a flexible way to earn higher education credentials. The benefits of online classes include logging on when you have time (even late at night!) to watch videos or read lectures. Assigned homework may still have required deadlines, and it is important to block study time during the week.

Earning your BSN while you continue to work gives you the ultimate flexibility to advance your career. You will be able to balance your current career and life and family responsibilities with an online BSN program.

Registered nursing has an expected growth rate of 26 percent through 2020. You can jumpstart your career as an RN with potential for advancement and leadership positions by earning an online BSN while you work.
