Two-Year Nursing Degree salary

Two-Year Nursing Degree salary

Registered nurses can begin their careers after earning an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited school.

This means that the position has a lower barrier to entry than working as a doctor or a surgeon, which often requires eight or more years of school.

Average Salaries

An ADN opens many doors for nurses who enter the field. The pay rate for a nurse with an ADN will vary according to the position, location, and years of experience. On average, ADN nurses can expect to earn between $15 and $40 an hour. Registered nurses begin around $19 an hour, while RNs in the emergency room might start at $20 an hour. RNs in an operating room might earn between $21 to $41 an hour.

An Associate of science in nursing (ASN) RN earns about $69K a year in Florida. According to Payscale, the average pay for RNs in Fort Lauderdale is $58,777 annually. This is about $28 to $33 an hour for most RNs in the area. The salary will vary according to location, hospital, and experience level of the nurse with an ASN or ADN.
