HCI Offers American Heart Association Instructor Training

American Heart Association Instructor Training

Did you know that HCI offers American Heart Association instructor courses? If you have been interested in teaching Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), you can get certified as an instructor by enrolling in an AHA course at Health Career Institute.

The American Heart Association provides the list of requirements needed to become an instructor. The good news is that current AHA providers can become certified as instructors in just a few easy steps!

How to become an AHA course director

To become an AHA course instructor, you must first be accepted by your local AHA Training Center, such as HCI, and complete an Instructor Candidate Application. Your provider status should also be current in the discipline that you want to teach.

Your next step is to take and pass the discipline-specific American Heart Association instructor course. Within in six months of completing the AHA instructor course at HCI, you will need to be monitored teaching your first course and pass the assessment.

You will be able to rely on your experience in the discipline, whether BLS, ACLS or PALS, as well as the skills needed to teach it to others with training and instructor experience.

Instructors must stay up-to-date on their certifications. Every two years, AHA instructors will need to take an instructor refresher course to get the updated knowledge in their discipline and keep their instructor credentials.

HCI’s authorized AHA instructor training

HCI is an authorized American Heart Association Training Center and offers certification and instructor courses on their campuses. You can receive high-quality training with the most updated AHA guidelines and be prepared to lead AHA courses in BLS, ACLS and PALS.

Enrolling in the next course is easy. You can register by calling us 561-586-0121. No need to wait to get started as an American Heart Association course instructor. Start your journey as an AHA instructor today!

Not all programs are offered at all campuses, so check with Health Career Institute to see which campus is offering the AHA instructor course that you want to take.
