Richard S. Archie, MSN, APRN, FRNP-C

Richard S. Archie, MSN, APRN, FRNP-C, brings more than two decades of clinical and leadership experience to nursing education. His background includes medical-surgical nursing, emergency nursing, trauma care, urgent care, military medicine, and emergency medical services.
As a former Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic and U.S. Army Combat Medic and EMS Instructor, Richard has trained healthcare professionals in emergency response, trauma management, BLS, and ACLS. Richard is an experienced academic leader serving as a Practical Nursing Program Director and Interim Director of nursing with a strong background in higher education administration, curriculum development, faculty support, and student success.
He provides strategic leadership for academic programs, ensuring quality instruction, accreditation compliance, and continuous improvement. Known for collaborative leadership and a commitment to excellence, Richard has successfully managed program operations, guided faculty development, and implemented innovative initiatives that enhance student outcomes.
He is enthusiastic about preparing the next generation of nurses through active learning, clinical judgment development, NCLEX preparation, and evidence-based nursing practice. His teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking, patient-centered care, professionalism, and lifelong learning.
