Dr. Kim Phillips

With a career spanning over 22 years, Dr. Kim D. Phillips believes “Educators must be intentional, explicit, and targeted; for education is an invitation to relationship that should be compelling, engaging and persuasive to foster and propel learning”! This interaction gained her vast experience in education as she served and matriculated as a Classroom Teacher (Broward and Miami-Dade County Public Schools) for Grades 6-8 and 9-12 in Science, General Education, EBD and ESE Counselor/Department Chair (Miami-Dade County and St. Johns Public Schools), District Student Services Support Specialist, and District Program Manager (Miami-Dade County Public Schools). Collectively she has expertise, and progressive experience in education management, teaching, academic operations, administration and leadership.

She has successfully dedicated her career to Teaching, Counseling and the design, development and implementation of curriculum support and framework, school improvement plans, and the infusion of successful courses of action for student matriculation and articulation processes from elementary through high school. One of her biggest accomplishments as District Program Manager was the district wide implementation of Cloud Nine (9) World; a character education program that served as character development and building blocks for all stakeholders (students, faculty and parents) by incorporating and teaching classroom and school-wide strategies along with a home learning extension within the character framework.
