Rachel Sweatt, RN, PNP, DNP-C

Rachel brings more than 30 years of nursing and healthcare experience with a distinguished background in pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, postpartum and newborn care, medical-surgical nursing, and primary care. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, professional mentorship, and nursing education.
For the last 25 years, she has been practicing pediatric care in a private practice setting. In addition to her extensive clinical expertise as a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Rachel has held significant academic leadership and faculty roles at institutions including Nova Southeastern University, Florida Atlantic University, South University, and Broward College. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing courses and mentored countless future nursing professionals.
Rachel earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Florida Atlantic University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida International University. Her combination of clinical knowledge, educational leadership, and passion for student success will be a tremendous asset to our Practical Nursing program and the continued growth of HCI College.
Please join me in extending a warm HCI welcome to Rachel as she begins this new role. We are excited to have her expertise and leadership on our academic team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students, faculty, and clinical partnerships. She will be based at our Fort Lauderdale campus, where they will play an integral role in supporting the continued growth and success of the Practical Nursing program.
