EMT Program Description
The EMT-Basic Program is designed to prepare the student for a career in Emergency Medicine, to be certified in the state of Florida as an Emergency Medical Technician, who is also ready for National Certification exam upon graduation. The program consists of lectures, labs, clinical rotations and ride times.
This 1994 D.O.T National Standard Curriculum incorporates all skills necessary for the individual to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service, pre-hospital provider and or other specialized service becoming a vital link in the health care team chain. Upon successful completion of the program a Certificate is granted. This may be applied as credit earned to an AS in EMS
EMT Admission
Registration is considered complete only when the following requirements have been met and the date of such has been indicated on the
application. Student handbook and objectives will be given to the student at that time.
